I received a Citi CashReturns card offer in the mail today. I had never heard of this card before so I thought I would give it a look over and review it.
Essential Details:
Unlimited Cash back. There is no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn in a year. Some cards have caps, but this one doesn't.
A minimum of one percent cash back on all purchases. Most purchases you will get one percent, but some will earn you more they have a complete list at their website. You can earn up to five percent if you make purchases at specific stores.
0% APR on transferred balances until April 1st, 2011.
Interest rate 12.99% APR variable. This was the interest rate offered to me, which is probably based on my credit rating, and people will receive a different interest rate.
One my favorite things about this card is once you accumulate fifty dollars worth of cash back they will automatically mail you a check. No more needing to keep track of how many points you earned and how close you are to picking out a reward. You just need to spend and wait. Although you can check your reward in your statement or online.
I like this card. The interest rate is pretty good, the rewards is decent but isn't great. Although one percent cash back is pretty good after the new credit card changes came. Many cards have lowered their rewards since then. The transferred balance rate is pretty standard.
Just a quick reminder if you choose to apply for this card or any card. Make sure you don't spend more than you can afford. Even though the interest rate is pretty low if you don't pay off your balance in full every month the rewards won't save you from digger yourself into debt.
