Clean Fresh Laundry
Have you ever walked by someones house and smelled their laundry, and its SOOO fresh?
I don't know how many of you people actually walk around your neighborhood, but I do it quite often. And when i walk, sometimes I can smell peoples' laundry, and it smells SOOOO fresh and nice and clean. I just want to know how I can get my laundry to smell clean like that. My grandma buys regular washing powder (she doesn't use fabric softener), so I decided to go out
and buy my own liquid laundry soap (Sun) AND fabric softener (Snuggles Original) and mine just doesn't smell as nice. What other brands do you recommend that will leave my laundry smelling nice when I take it out of the dryer. My boyfriends clothes always smell SOOO nice, and I'm like omg. I sit there and sniff him some days.
I know Downy is a good fabric softener, but what other brands of soaps and softeners work in the best combination to make them smell fresh and clean, and keep them smelling clean for when I want to wear
them?
I also use Sun and Snuggle but to get them smelling nice and fresh I add 1/4-1/2 cup vinegar to the washer when I put the soap in. The vinegar breaks up the remaining residue from the soap and the fabric softener from previous washes this allows the new fabric softener to get into the fabric and as a result you have a nice clean smell, and the smell lasts so much longer. This works for any detergent and Softener you use the reason clothes don't smell fresh is caused by the fact that they aren't getting completely clean due to the residue that coats the fibers of the fabric to make them softer, when this doesn't wash away completely the soap can't get the clothes nice and clean and fresh.
