It was Italian-Greek emigrant Sotirios Voulgaris Bvlgari who established the famous jewelry house called Bvlgari in 1884 in Rome, Italy. Bvlgari pronounced as Bulgari has V as the second letter of its name but V is the Latin representation of the English world U. There was only one Bvlgari store by 1905 opened by Sotirios sons in Via dei Condotti Street of Rome but now there are more than 230 Bvlgari stores across the globe.
The global expansion of the Bvlgari from a jewelry maker to the perfume manufacturer is the result of the vision of Francesco Trapani; nephew of the Mr. Bvlgari who took charge of Company's CEO in 1984 and released its first perfume in 1990s. Now company sells the most luxurious perfume brands around the world.
"Eau Parfumee au The Vert" was one of the first perfumes Bvlgari released in 1992. The scent has a fresh aromatic citrus fragrance and it's both for men and women. The lively fragrance is due to the notes of bergamot, orange blossom, cardamom, coriander, pepper, rose, jasmine, green tea, oakmoss, Tonka bean, and beeswax. The right mixture of lemon, Bulgarian rose; lily-of-the-valley, amber, musk green tea, cedar and sandalwood make it very refreshing and perfect for summer.
"Eau Parfumee au The Vert Extreme" and "Bvlgari Pour Homme", two perfumes were released by Bvlgari in 1996. Eau Parfumee au The Vert Extreme is very much similar to its previous version but has a sharp and long lasting fragrance. Bvlgari Pour Homme is the men's perfume and unlike other Bvlgari perfumes it is described as a refreshing, soft, long lasting and a woody floral scent.
Bvlgari released its first classic Bvlgari women perfume "Eau Fraiche" in 1997. The essences of this floral green fragrance are from mimose, coriander, orange blossom, pepper and bergamot and its refreshing smells is due to green tea, musk and iris.
"Black", another men and women perfume launched in 1998 is a great mixture of black tea, rubber, vanilla and amber. This type of fragrance is ideal for both men and women. However, interestingly some people believe that it feels really good on women, something that lies exclusively on the credit list of Bvlgari.
The latest perfume products released by Bvlgari are BLV for women and men, Aqua pour home, Aqua Pour Homme Marine, Jasmine Noir and Omnia Green Jade. Kate Moss, famous star endorses the Jasmine Noir, a woody floral scent released in 2008.
